Magikarp - Pokémon #129
Materials:
4 yards ribbon, cord or plastic lacing
1 key ring or lanyard hook
60 orange pony beads *
25 white pony beads *
15 yellow pony beads
3 coral or peach pony beads
Small piece of yellow cord for whiskers
Black sharpie marker or craft paint pen for drawing on eye.
*Note: This is the actual bead count for making both of the optional 3-D fins.
Special Instructions:
When you get to the 
refer to the second
diagram to make the 3-D side fins. If desired, you can make the 3-D fin on both
sides by repeating the same process on the other side using the same strand. Pay
close attention to the string path when making the top and bottom fin. After
completing the 3rd row of beads, using one strand, make the top fin by adding 2
beads and going back through the first. Add beads 3, 4 & 5, then go back
through beads 4 & 3. Add beads 6 & 7, then weave back through beads 3
& 1. Make the next row. The bottom fin is done the same way as the top fin.
Make the 5th row of beads attaching the top fin by going through the yellow bead
#6.Add the next row of beads and attach the bottom fin by going through the 7th
yellow bead. Continue with the rest of the pattern and tie knots. When finished,
refer to the second diagram and pull the small piece of yellow cord through the
bead marked with an X and glue in place.
